Meet Johnny

A neighbor first, a precinct chair second

“I am a Christian, a committed Republican, and a strong conservative dedicated to serving our community with integrity. I believe in limited government, fiscal responsibility, and protecting the freedoms that define our nation.”

Johnny McCleskey put his name on the ballot for one reason. He wanted Precinct 65 to have a chair who shows up, answers the phone, and treats the job like community service instead of a title. Neighbors agreed. They elected him.

You will find him where the work is. Poll-worker training. County party meetings. A folding table at a local event with a stack of voter information. He also keeps folks in the loop with plain-spoken notes on conventions, election law, and the issues landing on local ballots.

Alongside his wife Rhonda, Johnny is planted right here in the Magnolia area — the same roads, the same schools, the same Sunday mornings as the families he serves.

Where I Stand

Conservative to the core, neighborly by nature

Johnny ran on a simple promise and won on it: be a steady, principled voice for Precinct 65. These are the values behind the work.

Election Integrity

Clean rolls, trained poll workers, and confidence that every lawful vote counts. It starts at the precinct level.

Limited Government

Government closest to home governs best. Keep decisions with families and neighbors, not distant bureaucracies.

Faith & Family

The institutions that hold a community together come first. Protecting religious liberty and parents’ rights to raise their kids.

Fiscal Responsibility

Spend tax dollars like they came from a neighbor’s paycheck — because they did. Lower the burden, cut the waste.

Constitution & Freedom

Uphold the Constitution as written, including the Second Amendment, and protect the freedoms that define our nation.

Serving Neighbors

Be reachable, be honest, and help folks find answers — whether they vote red, blue, or stay home undecided.

Republican Party of Texas

The principles we stand on

These are the guiding principles of the Republican Party of Texas, shared by the Montgomery County GOP. Johnny carries them into the precinct every day.

In the Community

Show up. Help out. Repeat.

Being a precinct chair is not a desk job. It is poll-worker training, county meetings, block walking, and answering questions at the voting line. Here is some of that in action.
